Call Your Legislators and Override the School Funding Veto

Protect H. 877 and Vermont schools! This bill does not “raise” property tax rates, as the Governor has repeatedly claimed. His administration’s proposals included rolling back universal school meals and using all of the Education Fund reserves as a short-term fix for this year. Taxpayers would have to pay this back in coming years. This bill brings down tax rates — in a realistic, responsible way — while making a concrete action plan. Contact your legislators before the veto override session beginning June 17!
